Anlægssporene daterer sig for hovedpartens vedkommende til ældre romersk jernalder. Imellem de mange anlægsspor i form af stolpehuller og gruber er der udskilt 96 huse, som primært knytter sig til en landsby dateret til ældre romersk jernalder, evt. rækkende tilbage til den allerseneste del af førromersk jernalder. Herudover er der undersøgt en mængde gruber fra tidlig førromersk jernalder. Mod øst afgrænses bebyggelsen af et stort grubekompleks, medens den mod vest afgrænses af skellet mod Skejby Sygehus. Af særlige anlæg fra ældre romertid må fremhæves fundet af et stensat overdækket afløb nedgravet i undergrunden.
